urrggh, ultra hard. it's one thing to start to exercise and eating healthily, but to keep doing so and making it a habit is another story. i've been going to the gym for a month now. yeay to me! but exercise alone is not enough u see, u have to eat right as well.
so there i was talking to my instructor about calories, healthy food and keeping it real. her advice? nothing i didnt know before pun. u have to eat healthily, less sugar, less oily food and more fruits & vegetables. n u have to still balance up ur intake of protein, carbs n other nutrients. its not advisable to go for no carbs diet like the atkin's or no protein diet etc. for me at least. because it will only make me crave for it more. betul kot.
n the most important thing is to not skip any meals especially breakfast. it's like diet suicide if u skip ur breakfast cause your body needs energy to start up the engine and kickstart ur metabolism in the morning.n also try not to take any meal 4 hours prior to ur bedtime. hmm ok, no problem.
last week i made a new friend in the gym. she's a very slim lady and my first impression of her was that she's no more than 30 yeara old and must have no more than 3 kids, considering how she exercises and her high stamina level. i could not be more wrong. as we talked, she told me that she's been going to the gym everyday for the past two years, she's 45 years old and has 8 kids at home. EIGHT!!!saya rasa sgt malu ok. serious. terus tarik2 baju tudung nk cover lemak2 berlebihan. haha. tp she did give me some tips as to how to take care of ourselves and what not. thank u kak mia!:) i'm glad i met her, it is less intimidating to go to the gym now that i have a friendly face that i can look up for.
oh, hari ni ada training session lagi. i cant believe i'm saying this, but i'm actually looking forward to go to the gym.(padahal kejap lagi nangis2 bagai sbb kena dera dgn trainer, haha). ah well, what dont kill u will only make u slimmer,;p
