Of the coming new year & aqeef standard 1 expenses

Woh, its been soo long since i last wrote here and 2015 is coming to an end. Pheww time sure flies by really fast. Alhamdulillah i am now in my 36 weeks of pregnancy and due for csec for aqeef n adam's little brother on the 26th of january 2016. Hopefully everything goes well amin.. at the same time, i am finalizing my master's thesis to be submitted by the fourth of january to finally graduate inshaAllah.

And tomorrow's aqeef's 6th birthday. Yea! The day after tomorrow, we'll be sending him to his new primary school for his orientation day and on the 4th of jan he'll officially start his first year of primary school. I took leave starting today, the 29th to settle all his schooling matters and alhamdulillah managed to register him into sekolah agama in kota kemuning. Pheww so last minute but luckily still manage to score the last seat. Adoi. Thought it would be easy to enroll him in sekolah agama but apparently its not that easy ok. My mom went to 2 other schools but both were full and even though she begged them to allow aqeef to go there, they couldnt allow it cause its already over their students' limit, one class even had 44 students!😨😨 apparently there is no enough sekolah agama in selangor and the information system needs to be improved jugak kot. I actually googled online for list of sekolah agama in selangor but nada. Couldnt find any reliable site. Adoi.

Ok but then they told my mom to go to another school, nearer to our house and thankfully they still have a spot left when i went to ask them this morning. Rezeki aqeef. So i registered him then and there and they informed that the fees should be paid tomorrow. Ok. No problem there. Then i realized one more thing, still havent purchased aqeef's uniform for sekolah agama. Erkkk. Ok so off we went to get aqeef's uniform in plaza alam sentral. They have a canggih shop there situated at level 1 and its a one stop center for all kinds of school uniforms. And its relatively cheap too.

In november, aqeef had to go through his standard one's class placement exam and since we received the letter 2 days before the actual date, and the school required him to wear full uniform, we went to professor shop in shah alam mall to buy his first full set of uniforms. And it cost us rm100 for a set of primary school's pants and shirt.😱😱😱 mahal ok. After we went to canggih only we know that the price is ridiculous there. Haha. Nasib baik tak belasah beli 5 set skali. Kahkah.

So here is the total rough expenditure of putting aqeef into standard one. A reference for me , kot2 tahun depan GST dah jadi 20% ke. Boleh refer and meroyan. Haha. I dont know whether this is the normal range of expenses as this is our first time but it is definitely cheaper than putting him into kindergarten. Kahkah.

1. Full set of uniforms from professor - rm100
2. White shirts (sekolah kebangsaan) - rm 24.50 x 2 = rm49
3. Blue pants (sekolah kebangsaan) - rm 33.90 x 2 = rm67.8
4. Baju melayu (sekolah agama) - rm27.50 x 3 = rm82.5
5. White pants (sekolah agama) - rm 23.90 x 3 = rm82.5
6. Green sampin - rm19.90 x 2 = rm38.80
7. Singlets - rm8 x 3 = rm24
8. Full sports attire  - rm30 x 3 = rm90
9. School schoes, socks & belt = rm100
10. Primary school's books and fees = rm 210
11. Sekolah agama's books and fees = rm220

In total, we spent around rm1054.30. This is excluding aqeef's school bag sponsored by his mak long azira (thank u mak long!) and countless stationery, bottle water and colouring pencils.😒😒😒 adoi. Adalah additional rm300 easily kot. And oh label maker (rm100 ada offer kat popular) cause mama tak larat tulis nama kat buku. Nama panjang sgt nak oi. Haha

Thankfully nowadays all the text books are subsidized by the government means we get in on loan and needs to be returned by year end. We only need to buy buku rampaian and so on je for both sekolah agama and sekolah kebangsaan. Hmm. Dont know whether we went overboard with his expenditure, ke tak cukup kan. We'll know for sure when he starts schooling officially nanti kot. There is always the first time for everything kan. InshaAllah ok lah semua.

And yg kelakar, i took leave starting today cause i thought his orientation day is on the 30th but no no, i wrongly read the date and its actually on the 31st T-T. Takpelah, get to rest kejap sehari. Huhu.

6 months in

Alhamdulillah i am 25 weeks with adam and aqeef's little baby brother inshaAllah. 😊😊 couldnt feel more blessed. Thank you ya Allah. Especially now that i have abang aqeef who is so caring in terms of my well being. When i am down with my morning sickness or backache, he'll be the one asking me whether i'm ok or not, massaging my head, my back, asking me whether i need anything and constantly reassuring me that i look pretty(even when i just throw my stomach out and had saliva across my face) and that he loves me so much. So blessed alhamdulillah.

Even though at his age, academically, he's not where i expect him to be, i am thankful that his heart and manners are way bigger if not beyond any of  the adults that i am surrounded these days. And adam's progressing well as well alhamdulillah. At 25 months, he is so active and loves to play. He's very friendly and its very easy for him to adapt with strangers unlike his abang aqeef. We can actually leave him with his atok and nanny and he will not even cry a little bit. The only thing is, he's still not talking properly. I am fine with it but his maktok kept hinting me to send him to see a speech therapist, seeing that his cousin zulaikha who is 6 months younger already can speak properly.  Bahahaha. To which i just laughed cause i believe that he'll speak when its time for him to speak. Afterall, zulaikha's mother didnt even speak until she was 5 and she turned out to be the genius in the family.

And my father's alzheimer has gotten worse which affects him physically, mentally and pschycologically as well. Cause at times he will forget how to walk, where he is and how to do even the simplest thing such as going to the toilet. Hmm, but his temper remains the same and its really affecting the family. With this condition i really feel that i need to love my children enough so that they can take care of us when we're old. Cause my father's the type of father who buys his children's love with money and demand attention with his anger and hence, now only a certain number of his children willingly takes care of him at his old age if not none. Its my mom who really takes good care of him and still he constantly direct his anger to my mom. Its so depressing.

I am taking care of my father because of my mom, to be honest. To take some of the burden off of her, sad to say. 😦😦 cause i cant take his means words, not then and not now. Especially when i'm full with all these pregnancy hormones now. Pfftt.. ok enough for today. But to quote one of my colleagues, zul " takkan takde langsung kebaikan abah kau yg menyumbang kepada perkembangan kau?ingatlah and berbaktilah selagi boleh". Insaf. And with that i am thankful for my father regardless what he's said or done cause i wont be who i am now without him. I wont be this strong authoritative woman with him, cause i got it from him. Hahaha.

Ok again i am thankful for everything, pray that everything will go smoothly for my father and the whole family, amin.

Thinking out loud

I think you should treat people the way you want people to treat you. It is not fair to treat people like shit and when people treat you like shit, you get angry and bitter as if you dont deserve to be treated that way.

I know, we need to treat people nicely regardless how they treat us yada yada yada. But hello, not everybody is an angel ok. I am so sick and tired of people who acts like everything they do is correct and that its ok for them to do shitty things to others but the moment that they are treated badly, oh man, all hell breaks loose. Blerhgh. Who do you think you are man? You are no king. Even if you are the king, u shouldnt behave like a shitty moron.

Urghhh. I am so pissed right now. Especially for people who likes to say whatever it is that they want to say. Well what i want to say to them is "f**k off man!". Please lah, whenever u want to say anything, filter your words lah, whether it is true, necessary and kind. If it doesnt fit to any one of the criterias, shut up then, will you?

Loyar buruk boy

Aqeef skrg dah jadi loyar buruk kaw2.

And today, he made me so geram..but at the same time, i am to be blamed sbb mmg selalu loyar buruk and usik2 dia n org lain. U lead by example kan. Haiyoo. Below are one of his loyar buruk moments.

Aqeef : mama, i'm hungry. Can i eat mee?

Mama : nope, later on kakak will cook chicken soup for u to eat. You cannot eat mee.

Aqeef : no i dont want to eat you. Euwwwwww.

Mama : aqeeeeeeef!!!

and he went away laughing histerically at me.

Blergh. Budak ni. When did he grow up tah tak tahu.

cuti cuti bali 2015

Alhamdulillah, we went to bali last week from the 30th january until the 3rd of february to celebrate hubby's birthday on the 2nd and also to bring my parents on a fully sponsored trip (Untuk membalas jasa diorang la selama ni bawak kitorang jalan2, kononnya..last2 byk jugak mak spend utk the trip. haha). A lot of things happened during the trip, my dad's Alzheimer's got worse and he behaved a little bit worse than my youngest baby, Adam. Pheww. what a trip. but, alhamdulillah, we survived. haha.

Bali. Wow. That is exactly the word to explain the island. Subhanllah, super duper beautiful beyond words. Although it is filled with temples all around, but the temples are rather nice, beautiful and suits the beautiful scenery. Huhu. I will share the pictures later, once hubby has manage to extract photos from his camera. Ok, another sad story, i lost my handphone in the cab on the way back from klia2 to the house. T-T so, i lost most of my bali photos. Now i am trying to retrieve it from i cloud. Hopefully its still possible to do so. Huwaa.

And continuing the story, we travelled to bali by malindo. Reason being, my clever sister delayed the booking of our flight and we could not get good flight timing to travel by MAS. At the time, the cheapest was malindo. The flight was OK, tapi ada la sikit2 glitch yg tak menyenangkan hati macam, kerusi roda my parents, orang yg tukang tolak tu buat perangai diva, diorang bagi aqeef duduk seat yg isolated dari kitorang and so on. Hello, aqeef 5 tahun baru kot, ada ke diorang pegi letak dia duduk jauh dari kitorang. Hampeh punya airline. But alhamdulillah, aqeef ok je, abang2 betul tau.

And we arrived in bali and was picked up by our villa's supir. We stayed in Aswattha Villas, by Premier Hospitality Asia which i managed to buy via groupon and it was super cheap, considering the condition of the villa. Oh my, alhamdulillah, for RM2500, we got a villa for 5 days 4 nights with private pool, fully equipped kitchen (with microwave & stove), 3 spacious bedrooms and daily breakfast, served at the villa itself! Oh my! For the same cost, which is Rm600++ in Malaysia, we can only get a room with 2 king beds with small private pool at the Grand Lexis PD. Oh man, alhamdulillah for the villa, super duper great. Its situated in Canggu, near to Seminyak and Tanah Lot area. Cause we didnt want to stay in Kuta, scared of the Bali bombing even though it was soo long ago.

And on the first day that we arrive, kitorang lepak2 je kat villa and had a barbecue dinner served by the hotel for 200 ribu rupiah per person, which was roughly about 30 ringgit. And it was scrumptious and we slept through the night so peacefully. And on the second day, we started out tour around bali with the help of our pak supir booked from pak isme. u can goggle pak isme and he's all over the blogs, i dont think its even necessary for me to put his name here. Daily price per car is 400,000 rupiah which is roughly about RM120. Cheap, right? But of course, they will bring you to expensive shops where they can get lebih komisyen and i think they get their income that way kot. And on the first day, the supir asked my mom " Buk, anak2 ibuk n ibuk kerja apa ya?" and my honest mom shared everything and of course lepas tu bawak pergi makan nasi padang pun sorang rm50. huwaa. takpelah rezeki dia. haha.

On the first day, the supir brought us to silver factory where my sister memborong silver sampai more than RM1000. haha. maybe due to this jugak kot, the supir tgk, ek eh budak ni boleh shopping sampai berjuta2 rupiah in one place, (Based on his komisyen kot), lepas tu dia bawak pergi tmpt mahal2 je. Adoi. And after that we went to batik painting factory and of course shop where my mom pulak memborong. Lepas tu pergi kedai painting and cantik2 sgt painting diorang. Tapi takde maknanya pergi bali borong painting, so not me. Ok, the first 3 stops mmg saya tak membeli pape, so proud of myself. hehe. And then we went to Kintamani to see the famous volcano, Mount Batur. Gunung berapi hidup ok. On the way there we stopped to buy sim card for internet purpose. 40,000 rupiah (RM12) can get 1 GB simcard. Super cheap, kan? That's settled. And then, we stopped at Tegalalang to see padi bukit yg sgt cantik. Amik gambar sikit2 and jalan terus ke Kintamani. Kat Kintamani, kitorang pergi makan kat one of the restaurants overlooking the mount batur. Sgt cantik subhanallah. I think, for Bali, u need to go and experience the view yourself kot. Mmg lain view actual dgn dalam gambar. Go lah go. Ok, kat kintamani, lunch dia buffet, sorang 100,000 rupiah with 21,000 tax. Dalam RM36 la duit kite kot. OK sgt kot. Dapat view lagi. Cantik sgt lah. Urgh, tak syiok plak cerita takde gambar.

OK, from Kintamani, we headed down and stopped for kopi luwak. (Kopi datang dari tahi musang). haha. Ye kot. Geli tak geli, minum jugak, mmg ada musang tu kat situ. And shopped for people in the office yg pesan kopi luwak. And after that, since my mom and dad dah penat, semua balik villa solat zohor n asar. After that, my sis and hubby together with adam went out to factory outlet to shop! haha, my favourite activity. They have a lot of outlets focussing on beach stuff weh. Sama macam bandung tapi focussed kat barang beach la. Managed to score a couple of beach sandals and tshirts for the kids (Billabong, Quicksilver and so on). My sister of course, borong habis. Syioknya org tak kahwin lagi n takde anak, borong utk diri sendiri je. Dia actually sebelum pergi nak bawak RM300 je "Ala, pergi bali mana ada benda nak shopping". Haha. last2 dia yg memborong habis. Ceh. OK habis day 1.

On the second day, we started our day by heading to Tanjong Benoa. Beautiful beaches and a lot of water sport activities. Harga pun boleh tahan gak. Of course, our supir brought us to the most expensive shop. Ceh. Naik boat pergi pulau turtle 6 orang 1.8 juta rupiah which is around RM540. My mom dah siap nak bayar, and then nasib baik my sis pergi jalan2 kat kedai sebelah and found out that the same boat ride to pulau turtle tu cost RM120 je (400 ribu rupiah). Gila tak gila diorang charge kaw kaw. Nasib baik tak bayar lagi. Mengamuk je org tu, siap tak kasi lalu beach diorang bagai. Takpelah weh, asalkan kitorang tak kena bayar mahal. Huhu. And we went to turtle island, best gila! Dapat pegang turtle yg sgt byk, dari yg muda2 sampai la dah 96 tahun macam dato' kame tu. hehe. Tapi geli gak la. haha. Nantilah ada gambar nanti, akan share eh. Kat turtle island ni ada macam2 jenis haiwan jugak (ular la, parrot la, burung enggang la) and semua boleh amik gambar. Cool gila.

Lepas tanjong benoa, we had lunch kat kedai nasi padang sedap gila walaupun mahal. haha. nasib la labu. 500 ribu rupiah utk 6 dewasa n 2 budak. RM150 sekali makan, ok la kot kan. melantak tak ingat dunia sbb lapar. hehe. Kalau kat bali ni, nasi padang je lah yg halal insha Allah. yg lain semua ada babi guling la apa la. Adoi. And lepas makan, tumpang solat kat musolla nasi padang tu, kitorang pergi ke pandawa beach. Another beautiful beach. Nak masuk satu kepala 10 ribu rupiah. Tapi pak supir tu cakap ada 4 orang je dalam kereta so bayar 40 ribu rupiah je kot dalam Rm12. ok la. Beach sgt cantik as usual, tapi sgt panas la bali.. huhu. Terik.. And kat beach tu amik2 gambar and since semua org dah penat kitorang bertolak ke kuta utk shopping kat Krisna. Semua barang2 souvenior bali semua adalah, and cheap too. Alhamdulillah, that's settled. Afterwards, we headed straight to Uluwatu for Kecak dance. Subhanallah, sangat cantik weh, watching the sunset while watching the Kecak dance, marvellous. Actually ada byk dance lagi kat Bali, but my sisters yg dah pergi semua ckp, with the kids, its not advisable to go to the dance other than Kecak, cause unsur2 pemujaan dia melampau sgt. Actually Kecak tu pun puja2 jugak, tapi still ok for me kot, ada gelak2, lawak2 jugak. OK la. Sgt cantik.. subhanallah, tgk dance tu dgn sun set kat blkg. cantik gila. And supposedly lepas dance tu kena pergi Jimbaran for romantic dinner. Tapi semua org penat gila and request nak balik villa terus. So, baliklah.

OK, third day now. we went out with my mom, hubby and the kids, my sis and father stayed to enjoy the villa. First stop, Tanah Lot. The most beautiful part of Bali. It actually consists of lots of beautiful pura (temples) and satu temple ni actually duduk kat laut, kalau air surut, ada jalan utk ke temple tu, tapi kalau air pasang, jalan tu akan ditutupi air, and temple tu macam jadi island kat tgh laut. Sgt cantik subhanallah. Kuasa Allah sgt besar. And we had fun just watching the view and taking pictures here and there. And sempat amik gambar and siap print kat situ and it cost only RM6 je! haha. murah gile. From there, we went have lunch at Malioboro, at the town, macam ayam penyet lah, sgt sedap, and of course sgt mahal, makan 3 dewasa n 2 budak Rm150. ces. habis duit noks. And lepas tu since kitorang dah kat kuta, kitorang pun pergi la kuta beach and jalan2 ronda hard rock shopping2, haha. kat sini habis paling byk duit. syiok kot, rock shop diorang ada hard rock cafe and hard rock hotel. huhu. Cool. Lepas tu, kitorang pergi jimbaran for our romantic sunset dinner. And kat jimbaran tumpang solat kat restoran tu and had dinner for hubby's birthday. Sgt romantic walaupun ada anak2 berderet. Haha.

OK. Macam dah penat menaip. later2 sambung lagilah. Gigih menaip gak sbb takut lupa. ;p

Aqeef Danish Turns 5 & Going to School As 6 Years Old

Alhamdulillah, aqeef danish turned 5 last 30th december and we had a little makan2 session with all of our closest relatives and friends. I started planning to have this makan2 only a week earlier cause the office was kind to give us all 1 week break to celebrate the new year. Hehe. I was on leave for a week since 27th dec and went back to work on the 6th of january. Woohoo, so we planned to have this makan2 to celebrate aqeef and adam's birthday together (i felt so guilty as adam never had any birthday party, cause i was so caught up with work and study during his actual birthday, hence the combination of the birthday parties with aqeef).

And alhamdulillah, food was prepared by my mom, maid and mother in law, together with some ordered food i found from instagram and internet. Huhu. Most of it was very delicious but one or two dishes (the polkadot apam & cupcake) were not that nice. Hmm, never going to get it from that seller again. But i came across a superb food supplier @mysugarshack, order lasagna, brownies & tartlets and the food was soo good especially the brownies and tartlets. Aih kena order lagi ni, sgt sedap kot.huhu.

And during the week's break i managed to order banner for the party and ordered bouncy castle since aqeef has been requesting to have it for his birthday.  And i found one great supplier from instagram "@kidzbouncycastle" and their service was superb! They came soo early to setup the castle and when its time to pick up they came later than the mentioned time (with notice of course) and allowed the kids to play more.Double  thumbs up and highly recommended. And the banner for their birthday complete with the kids photos printed on canvas were done by @yncreative! Also superbly done, i ordered on sunday the the 28th of dec and on the 2nd i received the beautifully done banner, alhamdulillah for all the superb service.

And of course, special extra thanks to mak ngah ana acip n adam for the decoration, mak ngah spent a lot jugak beli helium balloons and so on sbb dia cakap masa dia kecik tak pernah ada org celebrate birthday party dia. Hahahaha.

And that was that, and school started officially yesterday 14th january for aqeef's school but he has been going to fardhu ain and iqra' classes since monday the 12th. This year's school schedule hs been delayed due to the flood and hence the delayed first day of school for aqeef. So this year aqeef will go to school in the morning and in the afternoon he will go to his fardhu ain and iqra' reading class. Huhu and thankfully he's loving both of his schools :)

And everyday i will send him in the morning and maktok will pick him up and send him again to his fardhu ain class. We cut off his ipad usage and television time during weekdays, its about time kot kan? We will only allow it during the weekends and although at first he was reluctant to be separated from all those things (kept asking for the ipad), but now he's already ok and happy doing physical activity instead such as playing balls, nyorok2, lumba lari, karate maktok n atok. Eh. Haha.

So all in all, good progress for the first month of the year it seems, alhamdulillah.😁👍
